A workshop on ‘Plant anatomical characteristics used in medicinal plant identification’ was conducted at the Department of Plant Sciences, University of Colombo in collaboration with the Botanical Society of the university. Dr. T.D.C.M.K. Wijayasiriwardana (Principal Research Scientist, Industrial Technology Institute) serving as the resource person shared both theoretical and practical knowledge in this field. The participants included undergraduate and postgraduate students who received hands on experience during the workshop.
